Removing Wheel Bearing Housing

The procedure for removing and installing is shown for one side as an example. The procedure for the other side is practically identical.
- Detach rear upper control arm -1-
at the wheel bearing housing.
Upper control arm, rear
- 1.1 Unscrew screw on rear upper control arm -2- .
- Remove rear speed sensor -1-

Release and disconnect electric plug connection -2-

!2.2 Unscrew screw -3- .
- 2.3 Pull out rear speed sensor -1- .

Release and disconnect electric plug connection -2-

- Remove line bracket

- 3.1 Release and disconnect electric plug connection -2- .
- 3.2 Unscrew screw -3- .
- 3.3 Remove sensor for body -4- .
- 3.4 Unscrew screw -5- .
- 3.5 Set line bracket -1- down in direction -Arrow- .
- Detach front upper control arm -1-
from wheel bearing housing.

- 4.1 Disengage electric line for parking brake -2- from holder -3- .
- 4.2 Unscrew screw securing upper control arm to wheel bearing housing -4- and counter at the nut -5- at the same time.
- Detach longitudinal arm -1-
from wheel bearing housing.

- 5.1 Unscrew screw securing longitudinal arm to wheel bearing housing -2- .
- Remove rear axle trim panel -1-

- 6.1 Unclip clips -2- .

Remove rear axle trim panel -1-
by pulling it downwards.
Information
The drive shaft is inserted in the final drive. When removing the wheel bearing housing, make sure not to pull the drive shaft out of the final drive.

- 7.1 Unscrew screw securing trailing arm to wheel bearing housing -2- and counter at the nut at the same time.
- 7.2 Detach wheel bearing housing -1- from trailing arm -3- and pull it off the drive shaft -Arrow- .
- 7.3 Suspend the drive shaft at a suitable position using a tie-wrap.
