Removing Upper Control Arm At The Front

Rear connecting link

1. 1.1  Support wheel bearing housing using > VAS 6931 - engine and gearbox jack  .
2. 1.2  Unscrew screw -2-  and counter at the nut -3-  .

Rear angle sensor for headlight beam adjustment (HBA) on body

1. 2.1  Screw off nut -1-  .
2. 2.2  Remove connecting link from control arm.

Line bracket for brake line

1. 3.1  Unclip brake line -2-  from line bracket -1-  .
2. 3.2  Unscrew line bracket -1-  from threaded bolts and remove it.

Control arm at wheel bearing housing

1. 4.1  Disengage electric line for parking brake -2-  from holder -3-  .
2. 4.2  Unscrew screw securing control arm to wheel bearing housing -4-  and counter at the nut -5-  at the same time.

Screws securing control arm to rear axle housing

1. 5.1  Unscrew screw securing control arm to rear axle housing -3-  . Make sure not to damage the brake line -2-  while doing this.
2. 5.2  Guide out control arm.
