Installing Upper Control Arm At The Front

- Installation is performed in reverse order. Pay particular attention to the following:
- 1.1 Replace screws on control arm.
- 1.2 Before tightening the trailing arm screws: Lift the wheel suspension up slightly using lifting equipment (e.g. > VAS 6931 - Transmission and Engine Jack) .
- 1.3
Tighten screw securing control arm to wheel bearing housing.
> Initial tightening torque 70 Nm (51.6 ftlb.) and > Final tightening torque + 180 (133 ftlb.) °
- 1.4
Tighten screw securing control arm to rear axle housing.
> Initial tightening 40 Nm (29.5 ftlb.) and > Final tightening + 180 (133 ftlb.) °
- 1.5
Tighten screw on connecting link for anti-roll bar.
> Initial tightening 40 Nm (29.4 ftlb.) (29.5 ftlb.)
> Final tightening + 180°
- 1.6
Tighten nut securing angle sensor for headlight beam adjustment (HBA) to upper control arm at the front.
> Tightening torque 8 Nm (6 ftlb.)
