Removing Ignition Coils For Cylinders 1 To 3

1. Only when removing ignition coil for cylinder 1: 

   Remove ignition coil -1-  for cylinder 1.

   Overview of right cylinder bank

   1. 1.1 Release and disconnect electric plug connection for ignition coil -4-  for cylinder 1.
   2. 1.2 Unscrew screw on ignition coil -5-  for cylinder 1.
   3. 1.3 Pull off ignition coil -1-  for cylinder 1.
2. Only when removing ignition coil for cylinders 2 and 3: 

   Expose cable duct.

   Torque support bracket (shown on V8 biturbo)

   1. 2.1 Unscrew screws -1 and 2-  and remove bracket for torque support -3-  .
3. Only when removing ignition coil for cylinders 2 and 3: 

   Loosen cable duct -3-  .

   Overview of right cylinder bank

   1. 3.1 Loosen oxygen sensor lines -2-  from cable duct -3-  .
   2. 3.2 Pull cable duct -3-  off ball studs -Arrows-  .
4. Remove ignition coil -1-  for the relevant cylinder.

1. 4.1 Release and disconnect electric plug connection -4-  for the relevant cylinder.
2. 4.2 Unscrew screw on ignition coil -5-  for the relevant cylinder.
3. 4.3 Pull off ignition coil -1-  for the relevant cylinder.
