Removing Coolant Regulator

WARNING: Hot fluid 
  • Danger of scalding 
    • → Let the fluid cool down.
    • → Wear personal protective gear.
CAUTION: Pointed or sharp objects 
  • Risk of cracks, pricks or cuts 
    • → Wear personal protective gear.
  1. Remove coolant regulator -1-  .

    Coolant regulator

    1. 1.1  Have suitable aids ready for collecting emerging coolant.
    2. 1.2  Release and disconnect electric plug connection -2-  .
    3. 1.3  Unscrew and remove screws -3-  .
    4. 1.4  Remove coolant regulator -1-  and collect any emerging coolant using suitable aids.
  2. Remove coolant regulator seals -1-  .

    1. 2.1  Remove old seals -1-  using > VW771 - multi-purpose tool (-2-  ) and > VW771/37 - extraction tool (-3-  ).
