Removing Fuel Line (Left High-Pressure Pump To Rail)

Risk of burns
1. → Let hot component: cool down.
2. → Wear personal protective gear.

Expose cable duct.

Vent lines
1. 1.1 Release and pull off vent lines -1- at the connections -2- .
Loosen cable duct -1- .

Overview of cable duct
1. 2.1 Unscrew nuts -3- on ground lines.
2. 2.2 Release and disconnect electric plug connections -2- .
WARNING:
Hot fuel and hot fuel lines.
- Danger of scalding
  1. → Allow the fuel to cool down before opening line connections.
  2. → Wear protective gloves
  3. → Wear protective goggles.
Information
- Open connections and lines must be closed off using suitable stoppers or caps.
Information

Check fuel line for damage following removal and replace it if necessary.
Remove fuel line -1- .

Fuel line (left high-pressure pump to rail)
1. 3.1 Have suitable stoppers or caps ready for closing off line connections.
2. 3.2 Unscrew screw -2- on fuel line holder and screw off union nuts -3- .
3. 3.3 Lift up cable duct and remove fuel line -1-
