Checking Fuel Pump Delivery Rate

- Switch on and connect > 9900 - PIWIS Tester 3 .
- Switch on ignition (fuel pump comes on briefly).
- Drain the canister.
- Test the fuel pump delivery rate using > 9900 - PIWIS Tester 3
.
- 4.1 Select the Diagnostics function.
- 4.2 Select the Engine electronics control unit in the control unit overview and press F12=Next to confirm your selection.

- 4.4 Under DME, switch to the Drive links/checks menu item.
- 4.5 Select Drive links and press F12=Next to confirm.
- 4.6 Select the Fuel predelivery pump activation function and press F12=Next to confirm.
- 4.7 Have a stopwatch ready.
- 4.8 Activate the Fuel predelivery pump activation function by pressing F12=Next Activate the stopwatch at the same time.
- 4.9 After 30 seconds, deactivate the Fuel predelivery pump activation function by pressing F8=Stop

Read off the delivery rate.
- 4.10.1 Guide hose out of the canister.
- 4.10.2 Pour the fuel from the canister into the measuring cup and read off the fuel quantity. Minimum supply rate for a measuring time of 60 seconds: 3 litres
- 4.11 Switch off ignition, switch off > 9900 - PIWIS Tester 3 and disconnect adapter line in the vehicle.
- Fill fuel from the canister into the fuel tank through the fuel filler pipe.
