Checking Fuel Pressure
WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
- Switch on and connect PIWIS Tester.
- Switch on ignition (fuel pump comes on briefly).
- Perform fuel pressure test using the PIWIS Tester.
- 3.1 Select the Diagnostics function.
- 3.2 Select the DME control unit in the control unit overview and press F12=Next to confirm.
- 3.3 Switch to the Drive links/checks menu item.
- 3.4 Select the Drain fuel tank function and press F12 = Next
- 3.5 Activate the Drain fuel tank function (= activate the fuel pump) by pressing F8 = Start This can be stopped at any time by pressing F8 = Stop.

Read off the pressure shown on the pressure gauge.
Checking fuel pressure:
> Fuel pressure 6.5 bar +/- 0.2 bar

Deactivate the Drain fuel tank
function by pressing F8 = Stop.
- 3.7.1 Exit the function.
- 3.8 Switch off ignition, switch off the PIWIS Tester and disconnect adapter line in the vehicle.
- 3.9 Perform holding pressure test.
- 3.9.1 The system pressure must only drop by max. 1 bar after 30 minutes.
> Pressure 5.5 bar +/- 0.2 bar
