Subsequent Work

WARNING: Incorrect handling of high-voltage components 
  • Electric shock 
  • Short circuit 
  • Fire 
  • Explosion 
    1. → Only appropriately trained and authorised persons are permitted to work on high-voltage vehicles and components.
    2. → Required qualification: High voltage technician or high voltage expert.
    3. → Observe national requirements and legislation for this work.
    4. → Always use insulated tools, e.g. > VAS 6883 - Insulated Tool Set  when working on these components.
    5. → Observe general warning notes for working on the high-voltage system.
    6. → > WM, 2X00IN GENERAL WARNING NOTES FOR WORKING ON THE HIGH-VOLTAGE SYSTEM
  1. Install holder for high-voltage charger -1-  .

    Bracket

    1. 1.1  Position holder for high-voltage charger -1-  .
    2. 1.2  Clip in wire harness -Arrows-  .
    3. 1.3  Screw in fastening screws -3-  and tighten to > Tightening torque 8 Nm (5.9 ftlb.)  .
    4. 1.4  Screw on fastening nuts -2-  and tighten to > Tightening torque 8 Nm (5.9 ftlb.)  .
  2. Secure high-voltage charger.

    > 279719 REMOVING AND INSTALLING HIGH-VOLTAGE CHARGER 

  3. Start the high-voltage system.

    > WM, 2X00IN ISOLATING HIGH-VOLTAGE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM FROM POWER SUPPLY/STARTING HIGH-VOLTAGE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM

  4. Complete documentation.

    > WM, 2X00IN TEST LOG: STARTING THE HIGH-VOLTAGE SYSTEM

  5. Read out the fault memory and clear it if necessary.
