Subsequent Work

  • Electric shock

  • Explosion 
    1. → Only appropriately trained and authorised persons are permitted to work on high-voltage vehicles and components.
    2. → Required qualification: High voltage technician or high voltage expert.
    3. → Observe national requirements and legislation for this work.
    4. → Always use insulated tools, e.g. > VAS 6883 - Insulated Tool Set  when working on these components.
    5. → Observe general warning notes for working on the high-voltage system.
    6. → > WM, 2X00IN GENERAL WARNING NOTES FOR WORKING ON THE HIGH-VOLTAGE SYSTEM
  1. > T40344 - Counterhold tool -1-  must be removed from the automatic transmission -3-  .

    Gear support

  2. Install automatic transmission.

    > 373519 REMOVING AND INSTALLING AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION (V6 TURBO) - on "Installing"

  3. Start the vehicle again and complete the relevant documentation.

    > WM, 2X00IN ISOLATING HIGH-VOLTAGE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM FROM POWER SUPPLY/STARTING HIGH-VOLTAGE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM

  4. Complete documentation.

    > WM, 2X00IN TEST LOG: STARTING THE HIGH-VOLTAGE SYSTEM

  5. Read out the fault memory and erase it if necessary.
