Installing E-Box

Incorrect handling of high-voltage components

- → Only appropriately trained and authorised persons are permitted to work on high-voltage vehicles and components.
- → Required qualification-High voltage technician or high voltage expert.
- → Observe national requirements and legislation for this work.
- → Always use insulated tools, e.g. > VAS 6883 - Insulated Tool Set when working on these components.
- → Observe general warning notes for working on the high-voltage system.

- Install E-box.

Replace seal -1-

Carefully position E-box.
Information
Replace micro-self-locking screw.
- 1.3
Screw in fastening screw -1-
and tighten to > Tightening torque 8 Nm (6 ftlb.)

Information
Immediately after removing a centring pin, screw in and fit the fastening screw.
- 1.4
> 9924 - Centring pins-1-
must now be unscrewed.

Replace micro-self-locking screw.
- 1.5
Screw in fastening screws -1-
and tighten to > Tightening torque 8 Nm (6 ftlb.)

Fastening screws on E-box

Replace seal -1-

- Fit coolant hose -2-
.
Coolant hose
- 2.1 Remove stopper.
- 2.2 Fit coolant hose -2- and spring band clamp -1- using > VAS 6890 - spring band clamp pliers .
- Position holder -2-
and fit and tighten screws -1-

> Initial tightening 20 Nm (15 ftlb.)
> Final tightening + 90°

- Connect electric plug connection -1-
to the E-box -2-
