→ Only appropriately trained and authorized persons are permitted to work on high-voltage vehicles and components.

→ Required qualification: High voltage technician or high voltage expert.

→ Observe national requirements and legislation for this work.

→ Always use insulated tools, e.g. > VAS 6883 - Insulated Tool Set when working on these components.

→ Observe general warning notes for working on the high-voltage system.

Preliminary work for measurement 6 (4-cylinder and V6 engine)

Remove cowl panel cover.
Refer to the appropriate service information.
Release and disconnect connector for electric passenger compartment heater.

1. 4.1 Setpoint value < 1.0 Ohm
Evaluating measurement 6
1. 5.1 If the measured value is within the tolerance range, continue with measurement 7 .
2. 5.2 If the measured value is outside of the tolerance range, continue with measurement 6.1 .

1. 8.1 Setpoint value < 0.5 Ohm
Evaluating measurement 6.1
1. 9.1 If the measured value is within the tolerance range, continue with measurement 6.2 .
2. 9.2 If the measured value is outside of the tolerance range, visually inspect connectors and repair them if necessary. After carrying out repairs, repeat measurement 6.
Perform measurement 6.2.
