→ Only appropriately trained and authorized persons are permitted to work on high-voltage vehicles and components.
→ Required qualification: High voltage technician or high voltage expert.
→ Observe national requirements and legislation for this work.
→ Always use insulated tools, e.g. > VAS 6883 - Insulated Tool Set when working on these components.
→ Observe general warning notes for working on the high-voltage system.
> 2X00IN GENERAL WARNING NOTES FOR WORKING ON THE HIGH-VOLTAGE SYSTEM
Preliminary work for measurement 4 (V8 engine)
- Remove front right wheel housing liner.
Refer to the appropriate service information.
- Unclip connector at connection point (electric air-conditioning compressor) from holder.
Connection point electric air-conditioning compressor (front view)
Connection point electric air-conditioning compressor (right wheel housing view)
- Release and open plug connection at the connection point.
- Perform measurement 4.
Measurement 4 (shown as an example)
- Measure resistance at service disconnector, pin 3 and connector at connection point for electric air-conditioning compressor (female), pin 2.
Refer to the wiring diagram for the pin assignment of the connectors
- 5.1 Setpoint value < 0.5 Ohm
- Evaluating measurement 4
- 6.1 If the measured value is within the tolerance range, continue with measurement 4.1 .
- 6.2 If the measured value is outside of the tolerance range, visually inspect connectors and repair them if necessary. After carrying out repairs, repeat measurement 2.
- Perform measurement 4.1.
Measurement 4.1 (shown as an example)
- Resistance measurement on connector at connection point for electric air-conditioning compressor (male), pin 2 and pin 3
Refer to the wiring diagram for the pin assignment of the connectors
- 8.1 Setpoint value <1.0 Ohm
- Evaluating measurement 4.1
- 9.1 If the measured value is within the tolerance range, continue with measurement 5 .
- 9.2 If the measured value is outside
the tolerance range, visually inspect connectors (also on electric air-conditioning compressor) and repair if necessary.
After carrying out repairs, repeat measurement 2.
