→ Only appropriately trained and authorized persons are permitted to work on high-voltage vehicles and components.
→ Required qualification: High voltage technician or high voltage expert.
→ Observe national requirements and legislation for this work.
→ Always use insulated tools, e.g. > VAS 6883 - Insulated Tool Set when working on these components.
→ Observe general warning notes for working on the high-voltage system.
> 2X00IN GENERAL WARNING NOTES FOR WORKING ON THE HIGH-VOLTAGE SYSTEM
Preliminary work for measurement 1
- Remove luggage compartment cover.
- Release and disconnect connector for high-voltage battery control unit.
- Jumper pin 66 and pin 77.
Refer to the wiring diagram for the pin assignment of the connectors
High-voltage battery control unit connector (shown as an example)
- Disconnect E-box connector.
- Jumper pin 9 and pin 14.
Refer to the wiring diagram for the pin assignment of the connectors
E-box connector (shown as an example)
- Unclip connector at connection point (HV battery control unit) from holder.
Connection point (HV battery control unit)
- Release and open plug connection at the connection point.
- Perform measurement 1.
Measurement 1 (shown as an example)
- Measure resistance at connector at connection point (male), pin 4 and pin 11.
Refer to the wiring diagram for the pin assignment of the connectors
- 9.1 Setpoint value < 1.0 Ohm
- Evaluate measured result
- 10.1 If the measured value is within the tolerance range, continue with measurement 2 .
- 10.2 If the measured value is outside
of the tolerance range, visually inspect all disconnected connectors. Repair them if necessary.
After carrying out repairs, repeat measurement 1.
