Packing Lithium-Ion Module With Module Status "Normal" (Not Critical)

    → Only appropriately trained and authorized persons are permitted to work on high-voltage vehicles and components.

    → Required qualification: High voltage technician or high voltage expert.

    → Observe national requirements and legislation for this work.

    → Always use insulated tools, e.g. > VAS 6883 - Insulated Tool Set  when working on these components.

    → Observe general warning notes for working on the high-voltage system.

Observe the following specifications for all the work described:

These strict specifications apply in particular to:

Consider relevant and qualified sources of information such as local authorities, competent importer, associations and specialized websites for this purpose. Only deliver items to be disposed of to authorized reception points.

These regulations to be complied with have to be checked, observed and, if necessary, documented by the person responsible for the vehicle for all life phases and work.

Information 

The original test log for classification of the lithium-ion module must be kept in the Porsche Centre.

  1. Place lithium-ion module in the transport box in which the new lithium-ion module was supplied by Porsche AG. The supplied impact protection in the transport box must be fitted fully around the lithium-ion module.
  2. Put a copy of the test log for classification of the lithium-ion module in the transport box.
  3. Close the transport box.
  4. Affix the following labels on one long side of the transport box:
    • "Hazardous goods class 9" label
    • "UN 3480, lithium ion batteries" label
    • "Item number (small)" label
    • Document bag
  5. Complete accompanying documentation and place it in the document bag together with another copy of the test log for classification of the lithium-ion module.
  6. Affix "Item number (large)" label on one short side of the transport box.
