→ Only appropriately trained and authorized persons are permitted to work on high-voltage vehicles and components.
→ Required qualification: High voltage technician or high voltage expert.
→ Observe national requirements and legislation for this work.
→ Always use insulated tools, e.g. > VAS 6883 - Insulated Tool Set when working on these components.
→ Observe general warning notes for working on the high-voltage system.
> 2X00IN GENERAL WARNING NOTES FOR WORKING ON THE HIGH-VOLTAGE SYSTEM
Preliminary work for measurement 4
(High-voltage line from high-voltage charger to electric passenger compartment heater)
- Release and disconnect high-voltage line (high-voltage charger - electric passenger compartment heater) at the electric passenger compartment heater.
- Connect high-voltage test adapter > VAS 6558/9-6 - High-voltage test adapter HVA 280
to the high-voltage line (high-voltage charger - electric passenger compartment heater). Leave the second connection open.
Measurement 4
- Perform measurement 4.
- 3.1 Setpoint value > 550 MOhm
- Evaluate measured result
- 4.1 If the measured value is within the tolerance range, continue with measurement 4.1
- 4.2 If the measured value is outside
of the tolerance range, replace high-voltage line.
After replacing the high-voltage line, repeat measurement 1.
Preliminary work for measurement 4.1
(Electric passenger compartment heater)
- Connect high-voltage test adapter > VAS 6558/9-6 - High-voltage test adapter HVA 280
to the electric passenger compartment heater. Leave the second connection open.
Measurement 4.1
- Perform measurement 4.1.
- 6.1 Setpoint value > 550 MOhm
- Evaluate measured result.
- 7.1 If the measured value is within
the tolerance range, repeat measurement.
Contact Technical Support.
- 7.2 If the measured value is outside
of the tolerance range, replace electric passenger compartment heater.
After replacing the electric passenger compartment heater, repeat measurement 1.
- 7.1 If the measured value is within
the tolerance range, repeat measurement.
