Clean Injector Slot

Information
- Always comply with the procedure described here.
- Set compressed air supply to maximum 1 bar.
- > T40012 - Adapter-1-

must be screwed into the spark plug bore and tightened by hand.

- Set compressed air supply to max. 1 bar
and connect compressed air hose -2-
to adapter -1-

- Keep turning the crankshaft using the vibration damper until the valves on the relevant cylinder are closed.
You will hear a distinct change or the noise!
- Remove sealing ring -1-
on the injector -2-
at the top using a plastic wedge -3-
.

- Cover the injector opening at the top with an adhesive strip to prevent dirt from getting in.
Information
- Compressed air will escape through the bore on the injector valve when pulling off the injector valve.
- This will blow out any dirt particles. Wear protective goggles!

- 6.1 Pull spacer ring -3- up with your hand.
- 6.2 For V6 engines: > T10133/19 - Puller must be positioned, then pull off injector using puller -4- from > T10133C - Tool set.
- 6.3 For V8 engines: > T90005 - Puller must be positioned so that the spacer ring -3- is in the cut-out. Then, pull off injector using impact puller -4- from > T10133C - Tool set .
- Disconnect compressed air hose on the adapter.
- Close off the injector bore using a stopper -1-

Screw stopper -1-
onto the pull hook -2-
and use it to close off the injector bore.
The conical shape of the stopper holds it in the bore.

- Carefully clean the injector slot using a brush -1-

- 9.1 Blow out residual dirt using compressed air or by suction.
- Connect compressed air hose to the adapter for the spark plug thread.
Observe maximum pressure of 1 bar!
- Pull stopper out of the injector bore using the pull hook and disconnect compressed air hose on the adapter.
- > T40012 - Adapter can now be unscrewed.
- Pull off adhesive strip on the injector. Remove adhesive residue using a clean cloth soaked with fuel.
- Carry out cleaning procedure according to instructions for all other injectors.
