Leaking fuel supply lines

NOTIFICATION
Incorrect handling of pipe and line connections
- Risk of damage to components
- Leaks
- → Do not put too much pressure on pipe and line connections.
- → Always counter the lines when loosening and fastening them.
- Coat the thread of the union nuts with Microgleit DF 977S and leave to dry off for at least 5 minutes before fitting.
Information
- Do not bend high-pressure lines. Check that the connection points are not damaged and are perfectly clean and check that the screws/bolts are not seized and that there is no thread damage. Fit union nuts on all connection points by hand before screwing in screws or bolts. Remove dirt on the conical/ball joints. Check connection points for leaks following fitting.

Screw in union nut -2-
on fuel collection pipe by hand and tighten using > V.A.G 1331/6 - open end spanner insert, a/f 17

> Tightening torque of 10 Nm (7.4 ftlb.)
> Torque angle 60°
- 2.3 Only at the right on high-pressure pump to fail.
Screw in union nut -3- on high-pressure pump by hand and tighten using > V.A.G 1331/6 - open end spanner insert. a/f 17 .
> Tightening torque of 10 Nm (7.4 ftlb.)
> Torque angle 60°
- Install ignition coils.
