Removing Spring Strut

Wheel bearing housing raised incorrectly

- Do not raise the wheel suspension higher than the normal vehicle position (vehicle resting on wheels).
Information
Upper trailing arms are disconnected after removing the shock absorber fork from the wheel bearing housing.
- Fit screws for upper trailing arm
Mounting for upper trailing arm
- 1.1 Raise the lifting equipment.
- 1.2 Guide pins for upper trailing arms -1- into the wheel bearing housing.
- 1.3 Insert screw -2- and screw on nut by several turns.
- Expose external power connection -1-
as much as required until the screws for the air-spring strut are accessible.

Release and unplug electric plug connection

- 2.2 Open cover on external power connection
- 2.3
Unscrew fastening nut -2-
and remove wire harness from battery to starter -3-
from external power connection.

Remove housing for external power connection and set it aside.

Release and unplug electric plug connection
- Remove cap -1-
on electric plug connection for front spring strut.

- Release and disconnect electric plug connection for spring strut -1-
