Bleeding The Cooling System

Information
- There is no need to create a Vehicle Analysis Log (VAL).
- Connect a battery charger.
- During the Tester routine and warm-up phase, check the engine oil temperature -1-
and coolant temperature -2-
on the instrument cluster.
The Tester does not monitor the temperatures automatically!
If the temperatures are too high, cancel the process manually!

- Bleed the system using the PIWIS Tester.
- 3.1 PIWIS Tester must be connected to the vehicle.
- 3.2 Switch on ignition and PIWIS Tester.
- 3.3 Start the diagnostic application and select Engine electronics (DME) in the control unit search screen.
- 3.4 Switch to the Maintenance/repairs menu item.
- 3.5 Select Work on the high-temperature cooling system and press F12 to confirm your selection.
- 3.6 Start the Bleed high-temperature cooling system procedure and follow the instructions on the PIWIS Tester.
- 3.7 Erase fault memory.
