Installing Oil Pump

Information 

> VAS 6928 - Socket wrench set, 39-piece  can be used for loosening and tightening the screw on the sprocket.

1. Installation is performed in reverse order. Pay particular attention to the following:
   1. 1.1  Replace oil pump seal.
   2. 1.2  Check that dowel sleeves for centring the oil pump are installed and seated correctly.
   3. 1.3  Check that the timing chain is routed correctly in the guide and tensioning rails.
   4. 1.4  Tighten screws on oil pump.

      > Tightening torque 9 Nm (6.5 ftlb.) 

   5. 1.5  Tighten screw on oil pump sprocket.

      > Initial tightening 20 Nm (15 ftlb.) 

      > Final tightening + 90° 

   6. 1.6  Tighten screws on sprocket protection.

      > Tightening torque 9 Nm (6.5 ftlb.) 

   7. 1.7  Tighten screws on oil intake tube.

      > Tightening torque 9 Nm (6.5 ftlb.) 

   8. 1.8  Replace O-ring on guide tube for oil dipstick.
   9. 1.9  Tighten screw on guide tube for oil dipstick.

      > Tightening torque 9 Nm (6.5 ftlb.)
