Removing Vehicle Electrical System Battery (Lithium-Ion Battery)

Observe specifications for handling 12-volt lithium-ion batteries.

- Switch off ignition and keep transmitter key outside of the transmission range (at least 2 m).
- Remove terminal covers.
- Disconnect vehicle electrical system battery.
Battery connections
- 3.1 Disconnect degassing hose -1- from the battery.
- 3.2 First disconnect the ground strap -2- , then the positive cable -3- and move them aside.
- 3.3 Release and disconnect electric plug connection -4- .
- Unscrew fastening nuts -1-
and loosen retaining bar -2-
as far as required until the vehicle electrical system battery can be moved.

- Push vehicle electrical system battery forward and open the retaining bar fully.
- Remove holder -1- and remove vehicle electrical system battery -2- .
