FLANGING Automatic Transmission

- Installation is performed in reverse order. Pay particular attention to the following:

Tighten new screws securing transmission to engine.
M10 screws:
> Initial tightening torque 15 Nm (11 ftlb.)
> Final tightening torque angle 90 Grad
M12 screws:
> Initial tightening torque 30 Nm (22 ftlb.)
> Final tightening torque angle 90 Grad
- 1.2
Fasten the starter.
Upper new screw: > Initial tightening 30 Nm (22 ftlb.) > Final tightening + 105°
Lower screw: > Tightening torque 65 Nm (48 ftlb.)
- 1.3
Tighten screw for ATF lines.
> Tightening torque 20 Nm (15 ftlb.)
- 1.4 Tighten screws securing torque converter to drive plate in accordance with mounting specifications using > V.A.G 1331/12 - ring spanner insert a/f 16 .
- 1.5
Tighten screws on additional coolant pump holder.
> Tightening torque 9 Nm (6.6 ftlb.)
- 1.6
Tighten screws for heat shield on additional coolant pump.
> Tightening torque 9 Nm (6.5 ftlb.)
- 1.1
Tighten new screws securing transmission to engine.
