Preliminary Work
- Remove front-axle support.

- Remove power-steering gear.

- Vehicles without particle filter:
Remove primary catalytic converters.

- Vehicles with particle filter:
Remove particle filter (with catalytic converter).

- Remove catalytic converters.

- Hybrid only:
Remove exhaust pipes.
- Remove rear cardan shaft.

- Loosen both drive shafts on the transmission side.
> Removing and installing front drive shaft
- Loosen ATF cooler, but do not disconnect ATF lines.
> Removing and installing ATF cooler
- Loosen emergency release.
> Loosening and securing emergency release
- Drain coolant.
> Draining and filling coolant
- Remove the starter.
- Hybrid only:
Remove high-voltage line from power electronics to electric motor.
