Checking ATF

IMPORTANT:
To ensure that the transmission is filled correctly, the vehicle must be horizontal on the lifting platform.
IMPORTANT:
An additional quantity of ATF oil is required in the ATF oil circuit to guarantee improved operating reliability.
IMPORTANT:
The transmission temperature should be between 30°C and 50°C during the test procedure.
If the transmission temperature is > 50°C, let the vehicle cool down.
If the transmission temperature is < 30°C, let the vehicle heat up with selector lever engaged in position P at idle speed.
- Check transmission temperature.
- Move selector lever to position P, rev to an engine speed of 2, 000 rpm and maintain this for 30 seconds.
- Leave the engine running at idle speed, check idle speed and correct it if necessary.
- Press the brake pedal and slowly move selector lever through positions P, R, D.
Hold the selector lever in each position for at least 10 seconds.

- Check oil level.
- If ATF emerges, wait until the oil thread breaks off
- If no ATF emerges, ATF must be added
- Tighten screw plug for filling oil -1-

> Tightening torque 30 Nm (22 ftlb.) (22.1 ftlb.)

- Check the transmission for leaks.
