Installing Exhaust System

1. Install exhaust system.

   Exhaust system on VAS 6931 engine and gearbox jack (similar to illustration)

   1. 1.1 Position exhaust system on >VAS 6931 - engine and gearbox jack  and secure with a tension strap -Arrows-  .
   2. 1.2 Guide the exhaust system, which is secured with a tension strap -Arrows-  , upwards using the >VAS 6931 - engine and gearbox jack  and position it.
2. Secure the exhaust system -1-  .

   Exhaust system

   1. 2.1 Push rubber holder -2-  onto the exhaust bracket.
   2. 2.2 Fit screws -5-  , but do not tighten yet.
   3. 2.3 Position new clamp -4-  and tighten screws -3-  .

      > Tightening torque 23 Nm (17 ftlb.) 

   4. 2.4 Tighten screws -5-  .

      > Tightening torque 23 Nm (17 ftlb.) 

3. Loosen wire/tie-wraps -2-  .

   Catalytic converter secured

4. Remove >VAS 6931 - engine and gearbox jack-1-  from the exhaust system.

5. Install tunnel strut -1-  .

Tunnel strut

1. 5.1 Position tunnel strut -1-  and fit screws -2, 3 and 4-  .
2. 5.2 Tighten screws -2, 3 and 4-  .

   > Tightening torque 49 Nm (36 ftlb.)
