Installing Oil Spray Jet

Information 

Risk of damage to oil spray jets:

• Do not bend oil spray jet. 
• After re-installing the pistons, check that the oil spray jet has sufficient clearance. 
• Bent oil spray jets must be replaced.

• Do not bend oil spray jets. 
• Bent oil spray valves must be replaced. 

1. Installation is performed in reverse order. Pay particular attention to the following:
   1. 1.1 Replace and tighten screws on oil spray jet following removal.

      > Initial tightening 10 Nm (7.5 ftlb.) 

      > Final tightening + 45° 

   2. 1.2 Replace connecting-rod bearing cap screws following removal and tighten them.

      > Initial tightening 50 Nm (37 ftlb.) 

      > Final tightening + 90° 

   3. 1.3 Tighten screws on oil windage tray in diagonally opposite sequence.

   > Initial tightening 3 Nm (2 ftlb.) 

   > Final tightening + 90°
