Removing Engine

    1. → Secure components to prevent them from falling down.

  1. Disconnect electric wire harness from the front-axle carrier (right).

    Electric wire harness on front-axle carrier (right)

    1. 1.1 Unclip clip -1-  .
    2. 1.2 Unscrew screw -2-  .
    3. 1.3 Unclip clips -3 and 4-  .
  2. Disconnect electric wire harness from the front-axle carrier (bottom).

    Electric wire harness on front-axle carrier (bottom)

    1. 2.1 Unclip clip -1-  .
  3. Release and disconnect electric plug connections on the steering gear.
  4. Lift the engine at the engine suspension eyelets using a workshop crane and secure it.

    Information 

    Get another person to help during removal and mounting.

  5. Remove engine -1-  .

Engine on front-axle carrier

  1. 5.1 Disengage electric plug connection -2-  from the holder.
  2. 5.2 Unclip clips -3 and 4-  .
  3. 5.3 V6 only: 

    Unscrew screws -5-  on supporting mounts.

  4. 5.4 Unscrew screws -6-  on engine mounts.
  5. 5.5 Lift up engine -1-  using an engine crane and guide it out towards the front.
