Removing Occupant Detection Control Unit

Information 

If components of the seat occupancy detection system (only on vehicles for C02 - USA and C36 - Canada)  must be replaced, the padding with affixed mat for the seat occupancy detection system -1-  and the control unit for seat occupancy detection -2- must always be replaced as a complete unit  since they are paired during manufacture.

Spare parts are grouped in a repair kit.

-1-  Padding with affixed mat for seat occupancy detection system
-2-  Control unit for seat occupancy detection

A mixed installation is not permitted  .

Do not detach  the mat  for the seat occupancy detection system  from the foam part.

Information 

Always comply with the regulations for handling ESD-sensitive components!

  1. Release and unplug electric plug connection -1-  .

  2. Open retaining lug -2-  and remove occupant detection control unit -3-  from the holder.
