Removing airbag triggering unit
WARNING:
Improper handling of airbag units
- Triggering of airbag unit.
- System faults can occur.
- Remove ignition key or remote control (hand-held transmitter) and keep it outside of the transmission range.
- External power supply must be de-energized.
- Disconnect the battery and isolate the ground strap so that all contact with a ground carrier is avoided.
- Wait 1 minute after disconnecting the battery.
- Only pull off connector on the triggering unit after the waiting time has elapsed.
- Keep space in front of the airbag unit free.
- Replace damaged parts.
- Always set airbag units down with the blow-out opening facing upwards.
- Do not place any objects on the airbag units.
- Store airbag units in a safe place.
- Avoid contact with grease, oil, detergents, liquids or similar substances.
- Store airbag units in a cool place. Maximum temperature: 90°C.
