Preparing Glass Roof - New Glass Roof

Information 

The roof has a total of 26 spacers for adjusting the height.

The spacers are not supplied with the new roof and must be ordered for this.

The spacers that are not fitted must be selected according to the colour marking of the old roof and must be fitted at the designated positions.

Information 

When applying the primer on the new roof, always make sure that the entire bonding surface was pre-treated with primer. Slightly more primer must therefore be applied compared with the amount of adhesive that will be applied.

Two people are required  on both sides of the vehicle in order to remove and fit the glass roof on the body.

There must  be four people  at the vehicle in order to remove and fit the glass roof.

1. Fit glass roof and check that it fits perfectly.
   1. 1.1  With two people positioned at each side of the vehicle  , fit the glass roof in the roof aperture using suction cups and align it.
   2. 1.2  Fit and align the windscreen.

   3. 1.3  Make sure that the glass roof is positioned uniformly on the spacers.
   4. 1.4  Check gap dimension from glass roof to windscreen.

   5. 1.5  Remove glass roof with the help of two people on each side of the vehicle  using suction cups.
2. Clean new glass roof and treat bonding areas -1-  with primer.
