Removing Spring Strut

Information 

Upper trailing arms are disconnected after removing the shock absorber fork from the wheel bearing housing.

1. Fit screws for upper trailing arm -1-  .

   Mounting for upper trailing arm

   1. 1.1 Raise the lifting equipment.
   2. 1.2 Guide pins for upper trailing arms -1-  into the wheel bearing housing.
   3. 1.3 Insert screw -2-  and screw on nut by several turns.
2. Expose external power connection -1-  as much as required until the screws for the air-spring strut are accessible.

   1. 2.1 Release and unplug electric plug connection -1-  .

   2. 2.2 Open cover on external power connection -1-  .
   3. 2.3 Unscrew fastening nut -2-  and remove wire harness from battery to starter -3-  from external power connection.

   4. 2.4 Remove housing for external power connection and set it aside.

      1. 2.4.1 Unscrew and remove screws -2-  .
3. Remove cap -1-  on electric plug connection for front spring strut.

4. Release and disconnect electric plug connection for spring strut -1-  .

5. Remove front spring strut -1-  .

   1. 5.1 Get another person to help by holding the spring strut -1-  .
   2. 5.2 Unscrew and remove screws -2-  .
   3. 5.3 Remove spring strut -1-  by pulling it forward -arrow-  .
