Work Sample
Information
A work sample must be created and checked in order to verify and provide documentary evidence of correct bonding. The result of this work sample must be documented in the bonding log. The steps for creating the work sample are described in the processing instructions for the adhesive.
Information
If the result of the work sample is negative (it does not harden correctly), correct bonding cannot be verified.
In this case, measures must be taken to ensure correct hardening, the bonding supervisor must be consulted and bonding may have to be repeated.
- Once the required assembly strength is reached, cut the work sample -1-
at several places using a knife -2-
and evaluate the degree of hardening at the cut surface -3-
. The adhesive must be fully hardened
and must not have any fluid parts.
