Removing Brake Master Cylinder

Information
When carrying out work during which fluids can escape, leave electric plug connections to be disconnected locked and connected for as long as possible. This prevents fluid from getting onto electric contacts and causing corrosion.
Information
Brake fluid - even thinned brake fluid - causes corrosion on electric contacts, thereby impairing functions.
- Have suitable stoppers ready for closing off the connection openings.
- Place suitable material underneath to collect emerging brake fluid, e.g. clean, absorbent cloths.
- Disconnect brake lines -1 and 2-

- 3.1
Place suitable aids underneath the brake master cylinder to soak up escaping fluids.
Information
Any escaping brake fluid must be removed immediately. If necessary, rinse contacts with water and dry them.
- 3.2 Unscrew union nuts on brake lines -3 and 4- and pull brake lines out of the brake master cylinder.
- 3.3 Close off line connections using stoppers and move brake lines -1 and 2- aside carefully.
- 3.4 Close off connections with stoppers.

Place suitable aids underneath the brake master cylinder to soak up escaping fluids.

- 4.1 Unscrew nuts on brake master cylinder -3- .
- 4.2 Remove brake master cylinder -1- by pulling it forward out of the brake booster -4- .
