Drain Atf

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.

Information 

The ATF filter is integrated in the ATF pan.

When changing the ATF, the ATF pan must be replaced.

WARNING: Hot fluid 
  • Danger of scalding 
    1. → Let the fluid cool down.
    2. → Wear personal protective gear.

Information 

The transmission must be at operating temperature for draining the ATF. However, the engine must not be started if there is not enough or no ATF in the transmission.

    ATF oil drain plug

    1. 1.1  Place > VAS 6622A - used oil collection and extraction unit  under the transmission.
    2. 1.2  Unscrew oil drain plug -1-  and drain ATF.
    3. 1.3  Tighten new oil drain plug -1-  to the anchor block.

      Sealing ring - replace

  2. Replace ATF pan.

    > 375519 REMOVING AND INSTALLING ATF PAN

    Information 

    To ensure that the transmission is filled correctly, the vehicle must be horizontal on the lifting platform.

    Information 

    Use only oil approved by Porsche.

  3. Fill in ATF.

    Screw plug for filling oil

    1. 3.1  Unscrew screw plug for filling oil -1-  .
    2. 3.2  Connect adapter for filling ATF oil VAS 6262/5  in > VAS 6262A - adapter for filling oil  .
    3. 3.3  Fill in ATF until you see a constant discharge of oil.
    4. 3.4  > VAS 6262A - Adapter for oil filling  must now be removed.
    5. 3.5  Tighten new screw plug for filling oil -1-  .

      > Tightening torque 30 Nm (22 ftlb.) (22.1 ftlb.) 

    Information 

    An additional quantity of ATF oil is required in the ATF oil circuit to guarantee improved operating reliability.

    Information 

    Use only oil approved by Porsche.

    Information

    Quick connector on ATF cooler

    1. 4.1  > VAS 6617 - Hand pump for transmission oil  must be connected to > P90020 - adapter  .
    2. 4.2  > VAS 6617 - Hand pump for transmission oil  must be filled with the defined quantity of oil (see table). To do this, suck in air through the pump and use the scale on the pump to set at least the defined quantity of oil from an ATF oil container.
    3. 4.3  Open oil pipe for the ATF cooler at the quick connector -1-  and insert > P90020 - adapter  at the quick connector.
    4. 4.4  Fill the set quantity of oil using > VAS 6617 - hand pump for transmission oil  . After filling, suck in air again and inject it to ensure that the oil is filled completely.
    5. 4.5  > P90020 - Adapter  must now be pulled off. After filling completely, close the line for the ATF cooler with the quick connector -1-  by pressing down the locking clip on the ATF connection piece and check that it is fitted securely.

      Filling capacities Cayenne Hybrid/Cayenne Hybrid (China)/Cayenne Hybrid Coupe/Cayenne Hybrid Coupe (China) Cayenne/Cayenne Coupe/Cayenne S/Cayenne S Coupe/Cayenne GTS/Cayenne GTS Coupe Cayenne Turbo/Cayenne Turbo Coupe/Turbo GT Coupe Cayenne Turbo S Hybrid/Cayenne Turbo S Hybrid Coupe 

      Transmission oil quantity > Filling capacity 260 ml 

      > Filling capacity 370 ml  > Filling capacity 280 ml  No additional quantity
