Installing Front Brake CALLIPER Warning

WARNING:
Old mounting parts fitted on the brake calliper
- Reduced braking effect
- Risk of damage to the brake calliper
- → Fit new pad retaining springs
Information
- The use of an impact bolter is not permitted.
- The thread must be checked visually and may have to be blown out carefully using compressed air. Always wear protective goggles when doing this!
- Replace screws.

Do not bend the brake lines.
- For easier access, turn the steering fully to the left or right!
Information
Collect emerging brake fluid.
- Visually inspect all components to make sure they are in perfect condition and replace them if necessary.
- Fit front brake calliper -1-

Front brake calliper
- 2.1 Reset brake pads using > 9472 - brake piston resetting fixture .
- 2.2 Position front brake calliper -1- .
- 2.3 Fit brake calliper screws -3- and tighten to > Initial tightening 30 Nm (22 ftlb.) and > Final tightening + 90° .
- Fit brake line -4-

Front brake calliper
- 3.1 Fit brake line -4- on front brake calliper -1- .
- 3.2 Fit union nut -5- and tighten to > Tightening torque 14 Nm (10.5 ftlb.) .
- Connect and lock electric plug connection for brake pad wear indicator -2-

- Only required if the brake calliper must be installed as part of the subsequent work (brake line remains fitted):
Secure line bracket -1-

Line bracket
- 5.1 Tighten screw -2- . > Tightening torque 20 Nm (15 ftlb.)
- 5.2 Clip in electric lines on the holder -1- .
