Replacing Rear Spoiler

Information

Clean bonding areas.

The bonding area must be free of dust and grease.
The specified drying time must be observed after cleaning.
Always wear protective gloves while bonding.

Screw in new rubber stop -1- .

Stick new sealing lip on rear spoiler.

2.1 Clean the bonding area -1- using suitable cleaning agents.

2.2 Pull protective film off adhesive strip.
2.3 Press sealing lip -1- onto the rear spoiler by hand.
2.4 Stick on sealing lip -1- using > 9886/1 - press-on roller . > Contact force 50 N /cm²

Stick adhesive strip -2- onto new spoiler lip -1- .

Adhesive strip on spoiler lip
1. 3.1 Clean bonding area of spoiler lip -1- .
2. 3.2 Pull off protective film on adhesive strip -2- .
3. 3.3 Stick adhesive strip -2- onto the spoiler lip -1- .

15-mm spoiler lip: Install new spoiler lip -1- .

4.1 Measure positioning tape -2- for aligning the spoiler lip -1- and cut it to size.
Centre positioning tape: > Length 139.5 mm

Outer positioning tape: > Length 153.5 mm
4.2 Stick positioning tape -2- onto the rear spoiler -3- . When doing so, the positioning tape -2- must be aligned flush with the edge -4- and centred with respect to the recesses -5- .
4.3 Clean the rear spoiler -3- in the spoiler lip area -1- .
4.4 Clip in spoiler lip -1- and make sure that the clips engage securely.

4.5 Align spoiler lip -1- with the positioning tape -2- .

4.6 Visually align the spoiler lip with the design edges -1- of the rear spoiler.

4.7 Pull off protective film on adhesive strip -2- and press spoiler lip -1- onto the rear spoiler with your hand.

4.8 Stick spoiler lip -1- onto the rear spoiler using > 9886/1 - press-on roller . > Contact force 50 N /cm²

15-mm spoiler lip

25-mm spoiler lip: Install new spoiler lip -1- .

5.1 Measure positioning tape -2- for aligning the spoiler lip -1- and cut it to size.
Centre positioning tape: > Length 115 mm

Outer positioning tape: > Length 132.2 mm
5.2 Stick positioning tape -2- onto the rear spoiler -3- . When doing so, the positioning tape -2- must be aligned flush with the edge -4- and centred with respect to the recesses -5- .
5.3 Clean the rear spoiler -3- in the spoiler lip area -1- .
5.4 Clip in spoiler lip -1- and make sure that the clips engage securely.

5.5 Align spoiler lip -1- with the positioning tape -2- .

5.6 Visually align the spoiler lip with the edges -1- of the rear spoiler.

5.7 Pull off protective film on adhesive strip -2- and press it onto the rear spoiler with your hand.

5.8 Stick spoiler lip -1- onto the rear spoiler using > 9886/1 - press-on roller . > Contact force 50 N /cm²
