Removing Padding For Rear Backrest (2/3-Split Folding Rear Seat)

Unclip clips -1- from seat cover for rear backrest -2- at the bottom.

Seat cover on rear backrest
Disconnect electric wire harness -2- at the bottom of the seat frame.

1. 2.1 Release and unplug electric plug connections -1- .

  Mark installation positions!
2. 2.2 Unclip electric wire harness -2- on the seat frame at the bottom and remove it -Arrows- .
WARNING:
Incorrect handling of safety bolts
- Danger of injury
- Loss of torque
  → Always use new screws or nuts following removal.
  
  → Comply with instructions for repairs.
  
  → Observe specified tightening torques.
  
  → Carry out a visual inspection of parts used.
Unscrew screw -1- and remove seat belt mount -2- .

Detach seat cover on rear backrest -1- at the seat backrest.

Seat cover for rear backrest on seat backrest
1. 4.1 Detach seat cover on rear backrest -1- from the groove in the seat backrest.
2. 4.2 Feed electric wire harness -2- through the seat cover on the rear backrest -1- .
Loosen Velcro fasteners -1- from padding for rear backrest (2/3-split folding rear seat) and move seat cover for rear backrest -2- forward.

Loosen clips -1- and bend tab -2- outwards.

Unclip belt feed-through element -1- and leave it hanging at the rear three-point belt for the middle seat.

1. 12.1 Press padding for rear backrest (2/3-split folding rear seat) -1- away from the backrest frame.
2. 12.2 Release locking lug -2- and press left headrest guide -3- out of the backrest frame.
Remove headrest guide at the right -2- .

1. 13.1 Press padding for rear backrest (2/3-split folding rear seat) -1- away from the backrest frame -arrow A- .
2. 13.2 Release headrest guide at the right -2-arrow B- and press it out of the backrest frame.
Guide rear three-point belt for middle seat -2- with belt feed-through element -1- through the padding for the rear backrest (2/3-split folding rear seat) -3- .
