Preliminary Work
- Disconnect 48-volt vehicle electrical system.

- Remove exhaust system.

- Remove cardan shaft.
> Removing and installing cardan shaft
- Remove cover for centre underbody.
> Removing and installing cover for centre underbody
- Remove brake calliper -1-

Rear brake calliper
- 5.1 Release and disconnect electric plug connection for wear indicator -3- .
- 5.2 Unscrew screws on brake calliper -2- .
- 5.3 Remove brake calliper -1-
Information
Do not suspend the brake calliper on the brake line or on the electric line for the brake pad wear indicator.
- Hang the brake calliper -1-
at a suitable position in the wheel housing.

- 6.1 Protect brake calliper -1- with a cloth to prevent paint damage.
- Vehicles with air suspension system: Bleed the air springs.
Electric plug connection on air spring bellows
- 7.1 Release and disconnect electric plug connection -1- .
- Disconnect air line -1-
from air spring bellows.
Threaded joint for air line
- 8.1 Compress the relevant air spring bellows -Arrows- until the threaded joint -2- on the air line -1- is accessible.
- 8.2 Unscrew threaded joint -2- .
- 8.3 Let all the air escape from the air spring bellows. Compress the air spring with your hand if necessary.
- Vehicles without air suspension system: Remove rear coil spring.
