Removing Gateway Control Unit (Vehicles With Country Code C02/C36)

Information 

Always comply with the regulations for handling ESD-sensitive components!

• Always wear approved work clothes and shoes when carrying out assembly work. 
• Do not remove new part from ESD (electrostatic discharge) protective packaging until shortly before installation and only at the installation position. 
• Do not touch electric pins and plug contacts. 

1. Fold the carpet forward.
2. Release and disconnect electric plug connections for gateway control unit and control unit for external communication.
3. Remove control unit holder.

   Control unit holder

   1. 3.1  Unscrew screw on control unit holder -1-  .
   2. 3.2  Unclip control unit holder -2-  on the body.
   3. 3.3  Remove control unit holder with control units.
4. Remove control unit for external communication.

   Control unit - external communication

   1. 4.1  Unscrew screw on control unit for external communication -1-  .
   2. 4.2  Unclip control unit for external communication from holder -2-  .
   3. 4.3  Remove control unit for external communication -3-  .
5. Remove gateway control unit.

   Gateway control unit

   1. 5.1  Unscrew screw on gateway control unit -1-  .
   2. 5.2  Unclip gateway control unit on the holder -2-  .
   3. 5.3  Remove gateway control unit -3-  .
