Installing Tail Light (Rear Lid)

Information 

Check smooth operation of the adjusting elements before re-installing the tail light.

Screw in the adjusting elements for the tail light by approx. 1 mm before installing it.

1. Install tail light (in rear lid) -1-  .

   Tail light (in rear lid)

   1. 1.1  Fit tail light (in rear lid) -1-  .
   2. 1.2  Plug in electric plug connections -2-  on tail light (in rear lid) -1-  .
   3. 1.3  Clip in electric wire harness -3-  for tail light (rear lid) -1-Arrows-  .
   4. 1.4  Install tail light (in rear lid) -1-  .
2. Centre the tail light (rear lid) and with the rear lid half-open, screw in and tighten fastening screws -1 to 4-  in the following sequence (from the outside in) -1, 2, 3, 4-  . > Tightening torque 6 Nm (4.5 ftlb.)

   Tightening sequence:

   1. 2.1  Check for correct fit, check joint and if necessary, loosen fastening screws -1 to 4-  , unscrew the relevant adjusting element by 1/4 to 1/2 a turn and reinstall tail light (rear lid).
3. Open the rear lid, bring adjusting elements for the fastening screws -5 to 8-  in contact with the sheetmetal panel and screw in and tighten fastening screws -5 to 8-  . > Tightening torque 6 Nm (4.5 ftlb.)

4. Check function of tail light (in rear lid).
