Checking Actuator Travel Of Parking-Brake Shoes

Information
The actuator travel of the parking-brake shoes only needs to be checked for brake discs with an aluminium brake hub.
Aluminium brake hubs are installed on the following brakes:
- PCCB
- Grey cast-iron brakes (only for Turbo)
- Close electric parking brake using the EPB button.
- Read out the left/right actuator position and perform basic setting procedure if necessary.

must be connected before reading out the left/right actuator position.
To do this, select >>Parking brake<< in the control unit overview and then select >>Measured values<< under >>Actual values/input Signals<<.

If the value is greater than > Length 4.5 mm
, basic setting of the duo-servo brakes must be performed.

NOTE: Check free play using > 9818 - PIWIS Tester II .
Following basic setting, the free play on both sides must be within the prescribed dimension range.
