Replacing Electric Plug Connections For Transmission Wiring Harness

Information 

Note the arrangement of the cables for the connector housings to be replaced and do not get the cables mixed up.

1. Hold the connector housing with the connector tab -1-  up. Press > VAS 1978/35-33 - Release Tool Set  into the openings above and below the contact -arrow-  until the resistance of the locking lug on the contact is clearly overcome.
   1. 1.1 Leave the tool in the connector housing.

2. >VAS 1978/35-33 - Release Tool Set  must be fitted at the upper connector tab -1-  . Then break off this tab in an upward direction using the tool -arrow-  .

3. Pull the cable back -arrow-  out of the connector housing -1-  at the sleeve.

4. Press the cable into the new  connector housing -1-  from behind until the contact engages securely in the housing.

   Make sure that the cables are arranged correctly in the connector housing!
