Removing Brake Booster

Installation position of brake booster

1. Disengage brake booster push rod -2-  in the footwell.
   1. 1.1  > T40024 - Unlocking tool-1-  must be inserted ahead of the ball joint on the push rod -2-  from below.
   2. 1.2  > T40024 - Unlocking tool-1-  must be pressed together -arrows A-  . This separates the ball joint of the push rod -2-  . from the ball joint holder -3-  . in the brake pedal -arrow B-  .

2. Release vacuum line -1-  and disconnect it from the brake booster
3. Unscrew and remove fastening screws -3-  from the brake booster -2-  .

   When removing and fitting the brake booster make sure not to damage the boot -4-  on the push rod -2-  .

   The seal -3-  between the brake booster and body must always be replaced.

4. Remove brake booster from pedal module.
