Removing Clutch Master Cylinder

Information 

  1. Secure the clutch power spring assembly.
    1. 1.1 Pull rubber sleeve or adhesive pad off the bulkhead -Arrow-  .

    2. 1.2 Press the clutch pedal -1-  slightly -arrow A-  until the clutch power spring axle -2-  is visible through the bore.

    3. 1.3 Insert a suitable cotter pin, steel pin or similar insert -3-  into the bore (approx. 3 mm in diameter) to secure the clutch power spring axle -2-  (-arrow B-  ).
  2. Release electric plug connection -arrow a-  and disconnect it -arrow A-  .

    WARNING: Danger of injury and damage from brake fluid!
    • Poisonous if swallowed!
    • Irritation and damage to skin
    • Avoid contact with paint surfaces
      • forward Store brake fluid in suitable, labelled containers only
      • forward Wear protective gloves and goggles
      • forward In the event of contact (eyes or skin), wash immediately with water
      • forward In the event of contact with paint surfaces, wash off immediately with water - do not wipe off

    Information 

    Brake fluid is hygroscopic! Close off all lines immediately using suitable stoppers.

    Brake fluid will flow from the lines. Cover the body in the area under the clutch master cylinder.

  3. Disconnect supply and pressure hoses.

    1. 3.1 Pull off supply hose -1-  (-arrow A-  ) and close it off using a suitable stopper.
    2. 3.2 Release the lock -2-  using a screwdriver -arrow b-  .
    3. 3.3 Pull off pressure hose -3-  (-arrow B-  ) and close it off using a suitable stopper.
  4. Release retaining clip for push rod -1-  in the clutch pedal -2-  using > T10005 - pliers  (-arrows A-  ) and pull it off -arrow B-  .

  5. Loosen clutch master cylinder.
    1. 5.1 Turn the clutch master cylinder anti-clockwise by approx. 60° -arrow A-  .

    2. 5.2 Remove clutch master cylinder -arrow B-  .
