Removing And Installing Electric Fan

Information 

The help of another person is required.

1. Disconnect electric plug connection and disconnect electric connector -1-  from the fan frame.
2. Disconnect coolant hose -2-  from the fan frame.

3. Unscrew and remove screws -1-  at the bottom of the radiator frame.

4. Unscrew and remove screw -1-  at the top of the radiator frame.

5. Press locking lugs on the holder -2-  together and disengage radiator frame.

6. Release top of holder -1-  at the radiator.
   1. 6.1 Unscrew screws -2-  and remove the holder -1-  .
   2. 6.2 Replacing electric fan/radiator: Also loosen holder -1-  at the bottom.

7. Secure the radiator assembly -1-  with a tie-wrap -2-  to prevent it from falling down.

8. Unclip electric connector and electric wire harness at the air guide -Arrows-  .

   Observe installation position of electric connector for re-installation.

9. Remove clips -1-  and remove air guide.

10. Remove clips -2-  and take off the cover -1-  .

11. Unscrew nuts -2-  and remove electric fan -1-  .

12. Installation is performed in reverse order. Pay particular attention to the following:

    Tightening torque for nut on electric fan: > Tightening torque 10 Nm (7.5 ftlb.) 

    Tightening torque for screw at top and bottom of radiator frame: > Tightening torque 23 Nm (17 ftlb.)  > Tightening torque 23 Nm (17 ftlb.) 

    Tightening torque for screw at top of electric fan holder: > Tightening torque 10 Nm (7.5 ftlb.)
