Removing And Installing Electric Fan

Information
The help of another person is required.
- Disconnect electric plug connection and disconnect electric connector -1- from the fan frame.
- Disconnect coolant hose -2-
from the fan frame.
Disconnecting electric connector and coolant hose
- Unscrew and remove screws -1-
at the bottom of the radiator frame.
Lower radiator support
- Unscrew and remove screw -1-
at the top of the radiator frame.
Upper radiator support
- Press locking lugs on the holder -2-
together and disengage radiator frame.
Radiator holder
- Release top of holder -1-
at the radiator.
- 6.1 Unscrew screws -2- and remove the holder -1- .
- 6.2 Replacing electric fan/radiator: Also loosen holder -1- at the bottom.
Electric fan holder
- Secure the radiator assembly -1-
with a tie-wrap -2-
to prevent it from falling down.
Securing radiator assembly
- Unclip electric connector and electric wire harness at the air guide -Arrows-
.
Observe installation position of electric connector for re-installation.
- Remove clips -1-
and remove air guide.
Removing air guide
- Remove clips -2-
and take off the cover -1-

Removing cover on electric fan
- Unscrew nuts -2-
and remove electric fan -1-
.
Removing electric fan
- Installation is performed in reverse order. Pay particular attention to the following:
Tightening torque for nut on electric fan: > Tightening torque 10 Nm (7.5 ftlb.)
Tightening torque for screw at top and bottom of radiator frame: > Tightening torque 23 Nm (17 ftlb.) > Tightening torque 23 Nm (17 ftlb.)
Tightening torque for screw at top of electric fan holder: > Tightening torque 10 Nm (7.5 ftlb.)
