Checking Engine Coolant Level And Antifreeze Content

  • Danger of scalding 
    • → Let the fluid cool down.
    • → Wear personal protective gear.

Information 

  1. Open cap -1-  on the coolant reservoir in the luggage compartment and remove it.

  2. Have a suitable container ready for collecting coolant.
  3. Check antifreeze content using antifreeze tester -1-  .

    If it is below -35° Celsius  , correct the antifreeze content by increasing the proportion of pure coolant accordingly.

    Information 

    • Only use Genuine Porsche coolant. 
    • Never mix coolant with other coolants. 

    Information 

    • Coolant must only be added if a warning appears in the instrument cluster! 
    • Then add coolant only once up to the maximum marking. 
    • When the engine is started, the coolant level drops immediately. This is normal and more coolant does not have to be added! 
  4. Check coolant level and only add coolant if a warning appears in the instrument cluster.

    If necessary, add coolant only once up to the maximum marking -2-  !

    1. 4.1 The coolant level must never exceed the maximum marking. If this is the case, extract coolant.
