Rear spring strut

| 1 | Lock nut M14x1.5 | 1 | Before loosening the lock nut -1- , pre-tension the coil spring -9- using > V.A.G 1752/1 - Spring clamp until the piston rod is relieved. | Use a new lock nut. > Tightening torque 70 Nm (51.6 ftlb.) + 5 Nm (3.7 ftlb.) Position spring-strut mount -3- with respect to the shock absorber -10- before tightening the lock nut. This is described in the Assembly article. |

The thickness of the centring rings depends on the coil spring load group. This is described in the Assembly article. |
