Installing Rear-Axle Cross Member

Fit rear-axle cross member -2- and tighten fastening screw -1- on both sides of the vehicle (tighten fastening screw using a joint and extension and counter at the fastening nut with a ring wrench). > Tightening torque 65 Nm (47.9 ftlb.)

When fitting the angle sensor, always make sure that the holder on the rear-axle cross member is aligned correctly. > Alignment of angle sensor holder

Fit angle sensor -1- (with holder) on the rear-axle cross member on both sides of the vehicle.

Angle sensor mounting
1. 2.1 Tighten fastening screw -2- using > V.A.G 1331/13 - Ring wrench insert, a/f 10 . > Tightening torque 10 Nm (7.5 ftlb.)
