Removing Fuel Collection Pipe

Highly inflammable or explosive materials
- Danger of fire or explosion
- → Avoid contact with hot parts or sources of ignition.
- → Use suction to remove ignitable vapours.
- → Attach warning sign in a clearly visible position.
- → Contain leaked media using non-flammable absorbent material and put it in a container designed for this purpose for disposal in accordance with local requirements.
- → Secure collection containers/vessels to prevent them from tipping over.

- Risk of damage to units or components
- → Protect components from dirt and contamination.
- → Clean or replace dirty components.

- Loosen the fuel line connections carefully!
- The residual pressure in the system can cause fuel to spray out!
- Wear suitable protective clothing and goggles!
Information
- When removing and installing the fuel collection pipe, always replace the spring clamp and O-ring on the fuel injector.
- When removing and installing the fuel injectors, also replace the large O-ring and the Teflon ring in order to guarantee function and prevent leaks.

- When the work is complete, check that all aids and foreign objects (e.g. cloths, tools) are removed from the engine compartment.
- Place or hang a warning sign in a clearly visible position in the work area or on the vehicle.
- Remove ignition coils.
- 2.1 Pull off cable plug -1 -.
- 2.2 Unscrew screws -2 - and remove ignition coils -3 -.
- Carefully loosen union nut -1
- on the fuel line.
The residual pressure in the system can cause fuel to come out!
- 3.1 Loosen union nut (a/f 17).
- 3.2 Soak up any emerging fuel with a cloth!
- Loosen fuel collection pipe -1

- 4.1 Unscrew screws -4 -.
- 4.2 In order to gain access for disconnecting the fuel collection pipe, release and pull off cable plug -3 - at the fuel injectors as required.
- 4.3 Replace screws!
- Pull off fuel collection pipe with fuel injectors.
- Remove fuel injectors and clean them.
